- Anthemis nobilis (Roman chamomile) flower oil

Are you thinking what I think you’re thinking? Aren’t Roman chamomile, Ylang Ylang, and Lavender are all super relaxing oils? 🤔 I don’t need to relax. I need to get off my butt and get stuff done!

Motivation promotes “feelings of action and accomplishment” because it helps you fight resistance.
To quote from Steven Pressfield’s The War of Art, “Most of us have two lives. The life we live, and the unlived life within us. Between the two stands Resistance.” Robert McKee, in the foreword to the book says Resistance is an “all-encompassing term for what Freud called the Death Wish- that destructive force inside human nature that rises whenever we consider a tough, long-term course of action that might do for us or others something that’s actually good.”
Are you picking up what I’m laying down? 😉 The calming oils in Motivation help combat the nervous, tense, listless feeling that is Resistance. And the Spruce can help you feel grounded enough to open and release the mental blocks that are standing in your way.

So how do you use it?
You want those molecules to stimulate the limbic system to relax, which means you need to smell the oil. Apply the blend topically to your pulse points, or just take a couple of minutes to breathe it in deeply. I love a few drops in the diffuser as well.
